Driver Success! East Trans in-house training scheme reaches new heights
Congratulations to Aidan Barratt who has recently achieved his HGV Class 1 driving licence.
Aidan started with East Trans back in Summer 2019, he entered the fleet driving one of our 26 tonne Rigid vehicles, performing local runs into Grimsby and the surrounding areas.
With the dream of driving a 44-tonne vehicle, Aidan has recently achieved his HGV Class 1 licence and is now fully qualified to drive an East Trans 44 tonne Articulated Lorry.

Aidan is one of many drivers who have recently completed the internal Train to Gain Scheme, funded by East Trans. Running for three years now, the programme is designed to invest in training of our current staff, giving them new opportunities within the business.
A big thank you to Denby Transport for working alongside of East Trans with the driver training plan.
We are very proud of Aidan and can’t wait to see him out in one of the Artic’s!
